Commerce Court is a downtown banking complex where Toronto's older financial architecture meets its later office-tower ambitions. The public plaza is the easy part to visit, with a fountain and Derrick Stephan Hudson's bronze elephant sculpture, Tembo, Mother of Elephants.
It is a small stop, but useful if you are walking the Financial District and want to look beyond the obvious landmarks. The mix of stone, glass, public art and corporate scale says a lot about central Toronto.
