Joy Gas Station

Joy Gas Station is a small piece of roadside whimsy preserved in Sir Casimir Gzowski Park, near Toronto's western waterfront. Built in 1937, the former service station looks more like a toy chateau than a petrol stop, with a little tower anchoring one corner.

It is not worth crossing the city for on its own, but it makes a good oddball pause if you are walking or cycling the lakefront trail between High Park, Sunnyside, and the Humber Bay parks.
