Scotiabank Arena — called the Air Canada Centre until 2018 — is the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL) and the Toronto Raptors (NBA). The Maple Leafs are one of the most historically significant franchises in professional hockey; the Raptors won the NBA championship in 2019, a moment that produced one of the largest street celebrations in Canadian history.
The arena seats about 19,000 and sits on the waterfront at Bay and Lakeshore, adjacent to the Rogers Centre. Getting tickets to a Leafs game is difficult and expensive — demand perpetually exceeds supply. Raptors tickets are more accessible and the atmosphere at a regular-season game is excellent. Tours of the arena are available on non-game days and cover the dressing rooms, press box, and ice-level areas.
The arena is connected to Union Station by an indoor walkway through the underground PATH network, making it easy to reach from almost anywhere in the downtown core without going outside.
