Dapeng Ancient Fort is a well-preserved Ming dynasty walled settlement in eastern Shenzhen. Founded in the 14th century to guard the Pearl River approaches, it is now one of the area's strongest historic stops, with old lanes, gates, and defensive walls still shaping the visit.
