Shenzhen Concert Hall is the home venue of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra — a striking glass-and-steel building in Futian designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki and opened in 2007. It's part of the Shenzhen Cultural Center, a complex that also includes the Shenzhen Library in an adjacent but similarly designed building.
The concert hall seats around 1,800 in its main auditorium, with excellent acoustics and a varied programme that mixes classical concerts, pop performances, and seasonal spectacles. The Shenzhen Symphony has grown considerably in stature and now attracts visiting orchestras and soloists from across Asia and Europe.
Tickets are available online through the hall's website and at the box office. The area around the Cultural Center, including Lianhuashan Park directly behind it, is one of the most pleasant parts of the Futian CBD for an evening walk.
