The Historical Museum of the Armed Forces covers Albanian military history from medieval weapons to 20th-century uniforms, vehicles, artillery, aircraft, and Cold War-era equipment. The older exhibits are especially useful for putting Skanderbeg, Ottoman Albania, and later national history into one place.
Access can require advance permission, especially for foreign visitors, so check before making a special trip. If you can arrange entry, it is a worthwhile specialist museum in a city already strong on modern history.
