Dancing Fountains

Choreographed musical fountains on Lake Ardagani — Batumi's nightly summer spectacle

The Dancing Fountains, formally the Singing Fountains of Ardagani Lake, are at the southern end of the seaside boulevard, set into the small artificial lake behind the beach. From dusk until late evening through the summer months, the fountains run through choreographed routines — jets rising and falling to music, lit in colour from below.

The shows last around twenty minutes and run on a loop. Locals bring chairs, families gather, and the boardwalk around the lake fills up. There is no fee. It is one of those things that sounds underwhelming on paper and works much better in practice; if you are in Batumi on a summer evening, walk down at around 9pm.
