Chewra Thilim Synagogue began as a prayer house in Kazimierz and now functions as an exhibition space and bar. Its main reason to visit is the surviving polychrome decoration, a rare reminder of the painted interiors that once filled many Jewish religious buildings in the district.
It is close to the better-known Remuh and Old synagogues, so it works well as a small extra stop while walking Kazimierz. Check current access before making a special trip, since the building's use is more mixed than a standard museum.
