Liban Work Camp

The Liban Work Camp was a forced-labour camp in a limestone quarry in Podgorze, where Polish and Ukrainian prisoners worked in brutal conditions during the Second World War. The site is rough and partly overgrown, which makes it feel very different from Krakow's formal museums and memorials.

It is best visited with some preparation, since there is little interpretation on site. Combine it with the Krakow Ghetto, Ghetto Heroes' Square, and Schindler's Factory for a fuller understanding of this part of the city.
