Home Army Museum

Museum in a converted Austrian warehouse devoted to the Polish underground resistance in WWII

Set in a converted 19th-century Austrian military warehouse in Grzegorzki, this is the only museum in Poland devoted to the Home Army. Its large, modern displays cover the wartime resistance, the Warsaw Uprising and the persecution of veterans after 1945. It lies a short tram ride east of the Old Town.

A story
The museum tells the story of the Armia Krajowa, the underground army of the Polish Secret State that was the largest resistance movement in occupied Europe; exhibits range from clandestine printing presses and forged documents to weapons and the bitter fate of its soldiers under the postwar communist regime.
