A secular cultural and educational centre on Miodowa Street, hosting Hebrew classes, lectures, a Sunday school, holiday celebrations and a popular cafe. For visitors it offers a window onto contemporary, rather than commemorated, Jewish Krakow, and its volunteers run community meals and events open to all.
Jewish Community Centre
Secular Jewish cultural centre on Miodowa Street offering classes, events, and a kosher café
A story
Opened in 2008 after Prince Charles raised the idea on a visit to Kazimierz, the centre serves the small but reviving Jewish community of Krakow and has become a focal point of the district's living Jewish life, as opposed to its many memorials.
