St Mark's Church

Large Serbian Orthodox church near Tašmajdan Park with a monumental brick silhouette.

St Mark’s Church is one of Belgrade’s most imposing Orthodox churches, standing beside Tašmajdan Park with a heavy brick-and-stone silhouette inspired by medieval Serbian architecture. It feels more monumental and less intimate than many of the city’s older churches.

The church is easy to combine with a walk through central Belgrade, the National Assembly, and the park. Step inside for the scale, icons, and quieter atmosphere, then look back from the paths outside to appreciate how strongly it anchors this part of the city.
