Buffalo Zoo dates from 1875, making it one of the oldest zoos in the United States. The grounds are compact and easy to combine with nearby Delaware Park and the Darwin D. Martin House, with exhibits covering animals from bison and bears to sea lions, otters, reptiles, and tropical species. It is a good family stop, especially when the weather makes a long museum day feel too closed in.
