The Fontana Boathouse is the only boathouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The design was drawn in 1905 for a Wisconsin rowing club but was not built until 2007, when Buffalo supporters brought the plan to life on the city's waterfront.
It still functions as a working boathouse, so the visit is mostly about the exterior, the story, and its place in Buffalo's strong architecture circuit alongside the Darwin D. Martin House and other landmark buildings.
