Louis Sullivan and Dankmar Adler's 1896 terracotta-clad office tower — thirteen stories of dense ornament, one of the earliest steel-frame skyscrapers ever built, and an acknowledged classic of early American modernism. The lobby restoration includes a small free exhibit on Sullivan's work.
