A 16,000-hectare cloud-forest reserve on the ridge above the city, reached by riding the Metrocable from Acevedo to Santo Domingo and then the separate, longer cable car (Line L) over the ridgetop into the park. The ride alone is worth the trip — eight minutes drifting silently over cloud-forest canopy that drops away into the valley.
At the top, marked trails of varying length wind through native oak, a small market sells empanadas and woven goods, and pre-Columbian stone paths run through the woods. Cooler than the city, often cloudy. Bring a fleece.
