A pedestrianised plaza in El Centro filled with three hundred slender white pillars, each topped with a halogen lamp, designed by Juan Manuel Peláez as part of the city's deliberate reclamation of its downtown public spaces in the early 2000s. Lit at night they form a glowing forest visible from blocks away; daytime they are a stark sculptural grid.
The square is overlooked by the EPM library (Carré building) and the rest of the rehabilitated downtown plazas. Stick to the centre after dark.
