A cluster of traditional Bhutanese farmhouses on the southern outskirts of Thimphu, largely preserved in its original form despite the city's growth. A short walk through the village gives a clear sense of traditional Bhutanese domestic architecture: multi-storey rammed-earth and timber buildings, painted window frames, grain stores, and small lhakhangs. Several of the farmhouses operate as homestays, which are bookable through the tourism board. A good contrast to the newly built city core, and easy to reach by taxi from the centre.
