Kampung Budaya Sarawak, better known in English as Sarawak Cultural Village, is an open-air culture museum at the foot of Mount Santubong. Traditional houses, craft demonstrations, music, and dance introduce the state's major communities in a format that is easy for first-time visitors to grasp.
It is built for tourism, but it is still useful and often enjoyable, especially if you will not be travelling deep into Sarawak's interior. Combine it with the Santubong coast or Damai area rather than trying to squeeze it into a quick central Kuching walk.
