The house-museum of the composer Aram Khachaturian (1903–1978), best known internationally for his "Sabre Dance" and the ballets Spartacus and Gayane. The museum displays his manuscripts, personal papers, the Steinway piano he composed on, his Stalin Prizes and Lenin Prizes, photographs, and his recreated study. Occasional concerts in the small hall feature his works.
Khachaturian was born in Tbilisi to Armenian parents and spent most of his career in Moscow, but Yerevan is the keeper of his archive. Closed Mondays.
