The block-long strip of Saryan Street north of Toumanian — known unofficially as Yerevan's "Wine Street" — is the city's most active small-bar district. A succession of wine bars opened from around 2015 onwards (Saryan Wine District, In Vino, Wine Republic, and others) and turned a quiet residential street into one of the better Tuesday-night spots in the Caucasus.
The focus is on the Armenian wine revival — small producers from the Vayots Dzor and Aragatsotn regions, mostly working with the indigenous Areni and Voskehat grapes. Prices are reasonable and most bars do small-plate food alongside the wine.
