The Angel of Uzupis stands in the neighbourhood's main square, trumpet raised above the self-declared republic of artists and oddballs. Unveiled on 1 April 2002, it quickly became one of the district's symbols, part civic monument and part local joke.
You do not need to make a separate expedition for it, but it is a natural stop while wandering Uzupis. From here it is an easy walk to the constitution wall, the Vilnia River, and the small cafes and galleries that give the neighbourhood its character.
