The Energy and Technology Museum occupies a former electricity generating station on the north bank of the Neris River, a short walk from the old town. The building itself — a massive red-brick industrial hall from the early 20th century — is the main draw, but the museum inside also covers the history of energy technology in Lithuania with actual machinery from the power generation era.
The turbine hall is the most impressive space: the original generating equipment is preserved in situ on the main floor, and the scale of the industrial machinery gives a visceral sense of what early power generation required. There is also a collection of vintage vehicles and transport technology. Rinktinės St. 2. Open Tue–Sun 10:00–18:00.
