The Bernardine Church stands directly beside St. Anne's Church and is reached through the same gate from the street. Where St. Anne's is all Gothic delicacy, the Bernardine Church is Gothic in structure but larger and plainer, built by Franciscan Bernardine monks in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. The interior is notable for its 16th-century frescoes and for the Renaissance altarpiece of St. Anne.
The church is often overlooked by visitors who stop to photograph St. Anne's and then move on, but the interior rewards the detour. The frescoes in the sacristy are among the oldest surviving decorative painting in Vilnius. Maironio St. 10. Open during daylight hours.
