Markuciai Manor Museum is the current identity of the former Pushkin Museum, and the change matters. Rather than simply celebrating the Russian poet's family connection, the museum now presents the manor and its collections through the more complicated legacy of Russian imperial culture in Vilnius.
It is a worthwhile stop if you have already seen the old town and want a quieter, more layered museum. The surrounding park and wooden manor atmosphere make it feel far from central Vilnius, while the interpretation asks sharper questions than the old Pushkin label suggested.
