The Church of Saint Pantaleon stands in the monastery at Gorno Nerezi on the slopes of Vodno. Built in 1164, it is known for its Byzantine frescoes, especially scenes from the Passion of Christ, and for its preserved marble iconostasis.
The hillside setting also gives broad views over Skopje, making the church worth the trip even beyond its art-historical importance.
