The Macedonian Philharmonic is one of the more interesting modern buildings from Skopje's recent redevelopment, standing out because it avoids the faux-neoclassical style used on much of the surrounding riverfront. Its angular white forms were designed around concert acoustics, but the exterior alone is worth noticing while walking between the Vardar, the museums, and the Old Bazaar.
Check the programme if you want to hear the hall in use. Otherwise, treat it as a short architectural stop on a central Skopje walk.
