These two neighbouring late-Ottoman buildings sit between Skopje Fortress and Mustafa Pasha Mosque, where the old administrative city met the bazaar. The former post office held Skopje's first telegraph, while the Vilayet Building served the Ottoman provincial government when Skopje was capital of the Kosovo Vilayet.
They are not major museums, but they are worth noticing while walking the Old Bazaar. Their yellow facades and 19th-century proportions add a quieter layer to the Ottoman streetscape around the fortress.
