Saint Clement of Ohrid Cathedral is Skopje's modern Orthodox cathedral, begun in 1972 after the older cathedral was destroyed in World War II. Its rounded contemporary form, large central dome fresco, and separate clock tower make it one of the city's more distinctive religious buildings.
