Conservatorio de Música

The eighteenth-century building of the former Mining College, repurposed as the city's music conservatory after the mines declined. The Italianate façade is one of the most refined pieces of late-colonial architecture in the city. The building is mostly closed to the public, but free student concerts are held in the central courtyard most weeks; check the noticeboard at the entrance.
