A small flagstoned plaza enclosed by a hermit's chapel of 1726 and a row of cantera stone houses, two minutes' walk from the Callejón del Beso. During the Festival Cervantino each October, the plaza becomes the stage for the famous Entremeses Cervantinos — short Cervantes dramas performed in the open air, a tradition started in 1953 by a Spanish-literature professor at the University of Guanajuato.
