A nineteenth-century reservoir dam in the hills above the city, decorated with carved pink-cantera detailing as if it were a piece of public architecture rather than waterworks. The walk up from the centre takes about thirty minutes and gives a different angle on the bowl of the city. Quiet most of the day; locals come at sunset.
