Templo de Belén

A baroque eighteenth-century church beside the Alhóndiga, attached to the former Bethlemite hospital that gave the church its name. The façade is more restrained than the Compañía's Churrigueresque exuberance; the interior holds a rare painted wooden Virgin and a small collection of colonial paintings. Useful as a pause between the Alhóndiga and the basilica.
