El Rancho de las Golondrinas

Living-history ranch south of Santa Fe preserving early New Mexico life

El Rancho de las Golondrinas is a living-history museum on a historic ranch south of Santa Fe. Mills, chapels, adobe buildings, fields, and workshops show how Hispano New Mexico worked before the modern city became an art-and-tourism capital.

The site is strongest during festivals and demonstration days, when weaving, baking, blacksmithing, farming, and music fill out the old buildings. Even on quieter days it is one of the better places near Santa Fe to understand rural New Mexican life.
