A 20,000-square-foot immersive art installation that occupies a former bowling alley on the city's southern edge. The conceit is a haunted-house-style mystery: you enter a Victorian family home, find that something has gone wrong, and crawl, climb, and squeeze through portals — refrigerators, fireplaces, washing machines — into a series of strange, interconnected rooms built by 200 artists.
Bewildering, occasionally annoying, often delightful. Tickets are timed and sell out at weekends. Allow two to three hours. It is not for the claustrophobic.
