Museum of Indian Arts and Culture

Native American art, pottery, and jewellery on Museum Hill

The principal museum of Native American art in New Mexico, on Museum Hill next to the folk art museum. The collections cover Ancestral Puebloan pottery, contemporary Native art, weavings, and a remarkable jewellery hall — including signature pieces by Charles Loloma, Maria Martinez, and other defining twentieth-century artists.

The standing exhibition Here, Now and Always traces the history of Pueblo peoples in their own voices, and is one of the better Native American history exhibitions in the country. Allow an hour and a half.
