A short crescent of Spanish-Revival stucco buildings with red-tile roofs, built in 1929 as one of the first shopping districts north of downtown and now Oklahoma City's main artists' colony. Around twenty galleries, a few independent restaurants and bars, and a stream of resident artists working in studios along the strip. The Paseo Arts Festival on Memorial Day weekend is the city's main outdoor arts event.
Best on the first Friday of each month, when the galleries hold a coordinated evening opening with food trucks and live music in the street. Otherwise an interesting daytime walk; the architecture is unlike anything else in the city.
