A 130-acre park about 5 km west of downtown, with formal rose gardens, a sunken lily pond, a Japanese garden, and the city's main horticultural conservatory. The rose garden alone — over 3,000 bushes of nearly 300 varieties — peaks in May and again in late September, and is one of the best free things to do in town when in bloom.
Bring a picnic. The park also has a small lake, walking paths, and a children's playground. Named for the Oklahoma-born cowboy humorist Will Rogers, whose statue stands in the entrance plaza.
