The world's largest stocker and feeder cattle market is still very much in operation. On Monday and Tuesday mornings the auction draws buyers and sellers from across the region. The surrounding district preserves its early 20th-century character with gaslights and wooden storefronts selling western wear, boots, and saddles. Cattlemen's Steakhouse on Exchange Avenue is the place to eat.
