Hurghada National Museum

Modern museum spanning pharaonic to Islamic eras with Red Sea finds

Opened in 2020 on the Red Sea coast road, the Hurghada National Museum is the town's most significant cultural attraction. Its four exhibition halls span Egyptian history from the Pharaonic period through the Islamic age, with a focus on finds from the Eastern Desert and Red Sea region. The collection includes genuine rarities not found in Cairo's more famous museums. Well worth a few hours if you want a break from the beach.
