Hurghada's marina is the social centre of the resort half of town: a long horseshoe of moored dive boats and motor yachts, ringed by a paved promenade with cafes and bars on the outer side and the masts of the fleet on the inner. Walk it at dusk, when the boats are coming back in and the bars are lighting up, for the easiest pleasant evening in town. The Marina Boulevard mall sits at the western end and the fishing harbour is at the northern end — both worth a brief wander. The dive operators have their booking offices and storage along the central section; this is where to compare prices and book day boats.
