Magawish is the southernmost extension of the Hurghada resort strip, beginning about ten kilometres south of Sakkala and stretching down toward the airport. It is dominated by large all-inclusive resorts spread along a series of small bays, with the Hurghada Grand Aquarium as the main on-land attraction. The diving and snorkelling off Magawish reefs are good — quieter than around the marina and Giftun — and several reputable dive centres operate out of the resorts here. There is little to do outside the hotels: this is the part of Hurghada that functions purely as a sun-and-sea zone.
