Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Church is a small Hankou landmark founded for Wuhan's Russian community in the late 19th century. The rebuilt church was funded in part after a visit by the future Tsar Nicholas II, and it is among the oldest surviving Russian Orthodox church buildings in China. It is a short architectural stop while walking the old treaty-port streets near the Yangtze.
