Yunwushan Scenic Area is best known for its azaleas, which cover the hillsides in April and May. Outside the flowering season it is a quieter mountain and forest outing on the northern edge of the Wuhan area.
It is most worth the trip in spring, when the flowers turn the visit from a simple country walk into a seasonal attraction.
