Flying-saucer Soviet circus building still putting on shows

A distinctive 1976 Soviet circus building, shaped like a flying saucer set on a low plinth. The architecture is genuinely striking — concrete arches radiating from a central dome — and the place still hosts traditional circus performances, with acrobats, clowns, and trained animals.

For circus performances, tickets are a few dollars and the experience is firmly old-school Soviet. Outside performance times the building is closed; admire the architecture from outside.
