The Arts Center Red Monastery occupies an old priory on the edge of the Sonian Forest. Its exhibitions bring together literature, illustration, comics, and contemporary art, with a special eye for Belgian artists and children's books.
It is a quieter stop than Brussels' central museums, but the setting makes it worthwhile. Pair it with a walk in the forest or around the Rouge-Cloitre ponds.
