Brussels divides neatly between the Lower Town around the Grand-Place (medieval, touristic, commercial) and the Upper Town on the hill above (royal, museum-heavy, quieter). Together they make for a very walkable centre. Further out, the Atomium and the Art Nouveau houses of Saint-Gilles are both worth a trip.
