The Church of St. Nicholas is one of the oldest surviving churches in central Brussels, standing close to the Grand-Place in the old market district. Its fabric reflects repeated fires, collapses, bombardment, and restorations, with Romanesque traces, Gothic work, and later rebuilding all visible in a compact city-centre church.
