Brussels Museum for Industry and Labour

The Brussels Museum for Industry and Labour, also known as La Fonderie, occupies part of a former bronze foundry near the canal. Its exhibitions trace the factories and trades that shaped industrial Brussels, from metalworking and textiles to food processing and woodworking.

It is a useful counterweight to the city's grand squares and Art Nouveau houses. The museum shows Brussels as a working city, with machines, documents, and factory stories that explain the neighbourhoods west of the centre.
