The Museum of Cinematography explores the early technology and culture of film, from optical toys and projection devices to the work of Edison, the Lumiere brothers, and Joseph Plateau. Interactive displays make the mechanical side of cinema easier to understand.
It is closely tied to Brussels' film archive and screening programme, so the visit is strongest if you pair the exhibition with a classic or silent-film screening.
